CHALLENGE

Too much moisture in a building can have serious consequences for the health of both the building itself and its occupants.

The risks for the building in case of too much humidity are the following:

    • Fungi on structural wood (beams, floors, frames) and furniture,
    • the appearance of fog, or even water dripping on the windows and walls,
    • creation of a white deposit at the foot of the walls inside the dwelling,
    • blackish stains on fabrics and walls, accompanied by an unpleasant smell,

All these elements are therefore sources of major damage to the building and also mean considerable repair costs.

Too much humidity can also have serious consequences for the health of the inhabitants:

    • respiratory problems,
    • allergies, asthma,
    • headaches,
    • tiredness,

The monitoring of humidity in a dwelling and the correct functioning of the equipment linked to air renewal represents a major challenge for building managers.

What easy and quick solutions can be used to know/monitor this humidity level and also act to maintain it at the recommended threshold?

(The ideal humidity for a house should generally be between 40 and 60%)

SOLUTION

  • Knowing and monitoring the relative humidity of a room

By placing the COMFORT or COMFORT CO2 IoT sensor directly in the home, you can remotely monitor temperature, humidity and CO2 data.

The warning system informs you as soon as a threshold violation is detected. This allows you to act as quickly as possible to correct any malfunctions.

  • Ensuring good indoor air renewal through the proper functioning of the ventilation system
A functioning ventilation system means efficient air exchange and therefore good indoor air quality. As the air is renewed, the humidity level also remains good. The Delta P IoT sensor from adeunis makes it possible to monitor the proper functioning of ventilation boxes and to anticipate possible malfunctions. The alert system present in the IoT sensor allows to act as fast as possible to repair a faulty system, it detects :
  • an engine stop,
  • a filter is clogged,
  • a problem with the belt operation,
  • a pressure switch fault.

Our IAMo solution allows you to combine these elements to monitor and analyse humidity, indoor air quality and ventilation in your buildings.
